Dykon Blasting

PROJECT DETAILS

Located just northeast of Tulsa lie the Greenheck Group Complex, a series of four buildings for manufacturing large commercial fans. Phase 3 required blasting for two large industrial buildings, two retention ponds, and over 5,000 feet of utilities. The building pads were to be tied into rock, with 5 feet of overbuild, by blasting at multiple depths for pads, utilities, ramps, and footers. Over the course of 43 blasts, nearly 200,000 square feet of rock was blasted with distances as close as 40 feet to existing structures. Coordination to move hundreds of personnel out of structures during blasting daily, for traffic control, and to maintain a rigid critical path schedule were necessary to complete such a large project. This project ended completion in March of 2019 and is one of many completed in the area.
