Project Manager

The project manager is a key cog in the on-site drilling and blasting team.  The project manager sets the tone for a safe mindset, not only on the job site, but when traveling back home for the evening.  This means donning all proper PPE, understanding their uses and limitations, attending all safety meetings, creation of Job Safety Analysis [JSA] while on site.  Along with the safety aspect, the project manager will assist the drilling and blasting crew with their next day’s activities, paperwork as it pertains the contractor and owner of project. The project manager will be utilizing state of the art technology for tracking progress, hours, quantifying productivity, blast reports, seismograph readings, pre-blast surveys and following the site specific blast plan. The project manager communicates with Dykon Headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma frequently to address and solve any challenges as they arise.

Blaster

The blaster will be the foreman of the drilling and blasting crew on quarry, pipeline, construction or demolition blasting projects across America.  This role will lead with a safety mindset for themselves and all other employees on the team. As a blaster, you will be responsible for following the site specific blast plan, creation of drill patterns, setting up seismographs, product selection [bulk or packaged explosives], coordinating blasts with the contractor, attending safety meetings, accurately filling out trip manifests and blast reports, among many other duties. The blaster will also need to have or attain shortly after becoming employed by Dykon, a CDL license along with a Hazardous Materials [Haz-Mat] endorsement. Driller

The Driller with Dykon will be crucial to maintaining productivity and keeping our contractor on or ahead of schedule for their drilling and blasting project.  This is done by having a safety first mindset, attending all safety meetings and wearing all safety PPE when applicable.  Along with this, the driller will speak with the blaster or project manager on a regular basis to communicate any changes or challenges on that particular site.  Due to Dykon’s in house mechanic team, we furnish our drillers with high productivity, safe, efficient and regularly serviced cab and crawler drills.  As Dykon takes on technically difficult projects, this role will require various borehole diameters, various depths paired with changing topography which will make piloting and maintaining boreholes a daily challenge on some job sites. The drilling may be needed in quarries, mines, bridge piers, construction sites, pipelines among others.
