The safest way to get a dragline boom down on the ground where it can be salvaged is to sever it at the supports with shaped charges. When Gator Demolition, as subsidiary of US Assets Recovery, needed a boom removed from the Arcadia Dragline, they called Dykon. In just a few minutes of preparation, the old dragline boom became a memory.
