PROJECT DETAILS
In 2013, Dykon was fortunate enough to be selected to perform the highly technical mass rock blasting at the Eastern New Mexico Rural Water System Ute Intake, also known as the Ute Reservoir, in Logan, New Mexico. Dykon designed site specific blasting plans for both the shaft portion and the intake portion of the project, which required the use of electronic detonators.
The shaft had a total depth of 87’, and was blasted in 10’ lifts. The intake was blasted in various phases as well, and had depths of up to 54’ deep.
