PROJECT DETAILS

In 2014, Dykon was contracted to perform the explosive demolition of Union Pacific’s head house in Kansas City, Kansas.  This project required a very detailed blast plan to drop two head house that were feet away from active rail road tracks. The main head house was quite large, 220’ tall and 180’ long! Dykon performed all of the drilling and loaded the building with non-electric detonators and nearly 425 pounds of dynamite.
