Dykon Blasting

PROJECT DETAILS

Dykon Blasting was contracted to perform all of the drilling and blasting on the Highway 62 expansion project at Lake Leatherwood near Eureka Springs, AR. This was an in depth project that involved mass rock blasting and pre-split blasting along an active State highway to completely change the contour of the road. A total cut depth of 89ft was produced by creating multiple benches with associated presplit.  The limestone formation had many challenging geologic features in which Dykon had to design around.
